Savannah Fire Fighters

Master Firefighter Michael Curry, died in the line of duty on Saturday, November 19, 2016. The dock on River Street's Rousakis Plaza collapsed and a number of people had fallen into the water. Once on-scene, Master Firefighter Curry assisted with the rescue of civilians over ground ladders. During the suffered aortic dissection, which is a tear in the inner layer of the large blood vessel branching off the heart (aorta). He was treated by firefighters and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He was not revived. Curry worked for the Savannah Fire Department for 13 years. He had an 8-year-old son. Loved ones gathered onto honor him and all the fallen Savannah firefighters. Baker McCullough Funeral Home hosted "Taste of the Holidays” event for the fallen hero, and local businesses offered their services for free. Along with Randi Hempel, Ammie Dover, Regan Drake, The Savannah Jaycees, Buy Local Savannah, Jamie Daniel Durrence, and more, Creative Approach donated design services and printing of the event invitations. We were extremely privileged to help raise money for the Curry family and honor his bravery.

Through partnership and trade, we printed and installed $5,000 worth of wall cut vinyls for MODA’s “Beautiful Users: Designing for People” and “On You: Wearing Technology” exhibits.

MODA’s mission is to advance the understanding and appreciation of design as the convergence of creativity & functionality through exhibitions, education and programming for visitors of all ages.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016our Creative Team and some friends participated in the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run, the largest AIDS-related fundraising event in the Southeastern United States.  We helped AIDS Atlanta raise over 500k in donations.

Now commemorating 26 years of walking and running, AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run continues to raise much-needed funds for AIDS Service Organizations in the metro-Atlanta area. These organizations provide essential programs and services for men, women, and children who are infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

On December 10, 2016 the Creative Team and friends ran the Atlanta Santa Speedo Run, a 1.5 mile fun run and party to raise money for CHRIS 180.

CHRIS 180 started as a collaboration between the Junior League of Atlanta and the Menninger Foundation, and it protects thousands of abused and neglected children while empowering families through positive, solution focused programs.

Our team raised $2,405.

Miles for Meals

On May 21, 2016 the Creative Team participated in the 6th annual Miles for Meals 5k Run/Walk in Daffin Park, Savannah, GA. Miles for Meals is a fun opportunity for all ages to participate in raising funds and awareness to end senior hunger in our community. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit SCI’s Meals on Wheels program, which provides a hot, nutritious meal to seniors throughout coastal Georgia. Currently, SCI prepares and delivers more than 9,000 meals each week in Chatham, Effingham, Bryan and Liberty counties. Georgia ranks number six among Meals on Wheels America's “Top Ten Hunger States,” with nearly one in twelve seniors in Georgia being at risk of hunger. Creative Approach was a proud sponsor of the event. To find out more about SCI, visit
